MAC MAGIC OF THE NIGHT HOLIDAY 2015 COLLECTION REVIEW

Hello Beauts❣
Mac recently released their holiday collection in the UK, I picked up a few of the most demanded sought after products, thanks to several social media post a couple of weeks back about the release, which literally had every makeup or Mac addict on the edge of their screens and stores going cray about the collection.
So after a few stores/online selling out in minutes, I finally got my hands on what I wanted, and the rest to follow up shortly.
I picked up the two In Extra Dimension SkinFinish- "Oh, Darling" and "Shaft of Gold", Lipsticks in "Please Me" and "Evening Rendezvous".

MAC states "Get ready for an enchanted evening that just won’t stop. Play it cool this holiday with eyes in deep smoky hues, and lips that boldly lead the way for a night of unexpected thrills. Jazz it up with new Colour drenched Pigment in pearlized, creamy hues. The magic is in the night, darlings. Let’s have some fun."
And am sure gonna have some fun with these products...
MAC X MAGIC OF THE NIGHT HOLIDAY 2015 COLLECTION

IN EXTRA DIMENSION SKINFINISH / MAGIC OF THE NIGHT. £26.50. www.maccosmetics.co.uk
"In Extra Dimension Skinfinish adds the perfect high-impact shimmering glow to skin. The liquid-powder highlighter with prismatic reflections is designed to sculpt and highlight your face, leaving you with a luminous, well-defined finish. The creamy formula is designed to last up to 10 hours. Special deco packaging features the bold metallic hues of our holiday collection. " M.A.C
The Extra Dimension Skin-finishes are  highlights that are more to the reflective and metallic rather than subtle and barely-there.
There are two Extra Dimension Skinfinish in the collection- "Oh,Darling" and "Shaft Of Gold". I love the striking metallic royal blue packaging of the collection, it’s very different and eye catching. Unfortunately these skinfinishes are limited edition, and are already sold out online on M.A.C’s website but you may be able to still find it in certain MAC stores near (or far) so it doesn’t hurt to try. If you don’t have it and can’t find it in stores, you can go to Amazon or Ebay, and be prepared to pay a lot more for it.

OH, DARLING -Metallic gold
Is a light-medium, yellow gold with warm, orange-brown undertones and a metallic sheen. It’s compared to the highly coveted “Whisper of Gilt” by M.A.C from an older, limited edition collection. Oh, Darling however, is a beautiful extremely pigmented shade. It has good color payoff with a soft texture, applies gorgeously to the skin and blends beautifully, a little goes a long way with this highlight and it doesn't look dry or powdery on the skin. It’s finely milled, doesn’t leave chunky glitter on the face. The highlighter lasts for hours, between six to eight hours before fading on me.
I definitely recommend this highlight, if you can get your hands on it, GET IT!!!! There are a lot of dupes however that are not limited edition and you can still buy in stores or online now.
Some close dupes of this highlighter include; Anastasia Beverly Hills “So Hollywood” ,  M.A.C “Whisper of Gilt” (Limited Edition),  Kiko “Water Eyeshadow #208”, Bobbi Brown “Bronze Glow” (Limited Edition), MakeupForever “Pro Sculpting Duo #2”, Laura Geller “Gilded Honey”.

MAC MAGIC OF THE NIGHT HOLIDAY 2015 COLLECTION

SHAFT OF GOLD Deep bronze
Is a medium, orange-brown with warm undertones and a bronzy gold shimmer-sheen finish. Has an incredibly soft texture, smooth, and finely-milled without being dry or powdery, which enables it to apply with good intensity but still blend out easily. The pigmentation is very very good, can easily be applied less or sheer if desired. Absolutely beautiful on warm medium to dark skin tones.
Some dupes for this shade are; MAC Magnetic Appeal (Limited Edition), NARS Craving,  Too Faced Jingle All the Way Bronzer (Limited Edition), Tom Ford Beauty Gold Dust,  MAC Gold Deposit, NARS Jubilation.

MAC MAGIC OF THE NIGHT

LIPSTICK/MAGIC OF THE NIGHT. £17. www.maccosmetics.co.uk
"Lips let loose and live a little, playing nocturnal notes of dusky rose, deep berry and luxe blackened plum. Lipstick is formulated to shade, define and showcase. Four hues, two high-fashion textures. The iconic product that made M∙A∙C famous. Special deco packaging features the bold metallic hues of our holiday collection."
This collection has four special packaging lipsticks, three of the lipsticks are permanent shades and one is limited. I ended up getting Please Me, which is one of my go to MAC lipstick for the packaging, and Evening Rendezvous.

Please Me - Is a muted rosy-tinted pink with Matte finish, and a permanent MAC shade
It has excellent pigmentation that fully covers the lips evenly. Is neither drying nor hydrating. Pink Plaid by Mac is a close dupe.
Evening Rendezvous- Is a deep reddish purple with warm pink tones, and a Matte finish. It has an opaque color payoff with a soft, velvety consistency that glides on the lips. The color lasts for about five and a half hours on me, It is neither drying nor hydrating and has MAC’s signature vanilla scent.
EVENING RENDEZVOUS, PLEASE ME
