MARCH FAVOURITES

Hey Loves, Hope you all had a great weekend. Time for the favourite products I've been obsessed with during the month of March. 

E.L.F Contouring Blush and Bronzer in Turks & Caicos.- I've been using this a whole lot this month. I use it contour and accent my cheekbones. It adds a flush of color and beautiful definition to the face.  

NYX Butter Glosses.- I'm normally not a Lipgloss person, but when it comes to these, I totally adore!!!. I don't have a favourite color in the glosses, I love every single one. The color payoff, consistency is so nice, the texture is non sticky, and it's really really smooth on the lips.

Mac Prep + Prime CC Color Correcting Compact in Recharge.- What I use this for is highlighting, it's like a highlighter with no shimmer. It brightens and illuminates the skin, giving a complete natural looking glow which is what I love about it. 

MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle.- Am obsessed with this blush. It just gives a beautiful nice glow to the skin, it doesn't look streaky or heavy. Has great lasting power and feels really nice to the skin.

L'Oreal Paris Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution.- This product has been amazing to use, it works really well at removing the rest of makeup after cleansing without leaving any residue on my face. It's so gentle, doesn't irritate my skin. Great Great Product!

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation.- This is the first foundation I've found (and I've tried lots!) that matches my skin tone perfectly without having any fuss. I've really been loving this product, it gives me flawless coverage without being too cakey, and it lasts all day without needing touch ups. I couldn't recommend this product enough!

MAC Matte Lipsticks in Flat Out Fabolous and Relentlessly Red.- I love both these lipsticks majorly, and I've been wearing them non-stop throughout the month. The matte finish it gives is absolutely beautiful on the lips, lasts a long time, which I like. Not as drying for matte lipsticks but they definitely aren’t heavy with hydration, so I often wear lip conditioner/balm underneath minutes before applying. These lipsticks adds a pop of color to any look without being over the top.

WEEKEND BEAUTY TRICKS

Hey Loves, These are some of the tricks I follow or do when it comes to beauty. 

• Use a bit of foundation on your lips before applying your lipstick. It will help the color stay all day.

• For Long Eyelashes a swipe of Vaseline across your lashes before bed each night will help them grow long and lush!

• If your face is oily don't load it up with pressed powder which will block your pores and produce oil and acne! Soak up oil with tissue.

• For clear skin, look for a cleanser with Salicylic acid

• To get a Dewy Look use a dab of Vaseline to turn your favorite shadow or blush colors into a creamy blush.

• Apply polish starting at the pinky, working toward the thumb to avoid dragging your hand across wet nails.

• Zig-zagging the mascara wand back and forth during application helps cut down clumps.

• A neutral lip shade lets you wear more color on your eyes, and makes lips look fuller.

• If you want to make a round face look longer and thinner it's all about shading. Cheekbones and jawline and BLEND BLEND BLEND!

• Apply concealer to clean up your lip line when finished applying lipstick. 

•  Drink WATER! For instance, If you suffer from dry or chapped lips it could be due to your body being dehydrated. Drinking water gives a beautiful complexion.                       
• Get eight hours of sleep every day. Not enough sleep will make you look tired and older

I hope some of these tricks will be helpful to a few, sometimes by just doing a little trick helps out a lot when it comes to Beauty.

SPRING/SUMMER GO-TO LIPSTICKS

My go-to must have lipsticks for spring that I absolutely love and will be using a lot during season are;

1. MAC Dangerous (Orangey-red matte finish)
2. MAC Vegas Volt (Orange-coral with a creamy, opaque finish)
3. MAC Flat Out Fabulous (Bright plum matte finish)
4. MAC Saint Germain (Pale pink, amplified creme finish)
5. Tom Ford Firecracker (Vibrant orange-red, rich luminous shine finish)
6. MAC Rose Lily (Sheer pastel-pink with Lustre finish)

Clockwise; Flat Out Fabulous, Firecracker, Rose Lily, Dangerous, Vegas Volt, Saint Germain

One lipsticks that I left out which is a must have for spring is Mac's All Fired Up, a bright fuchsia matte lipstick, I love this color truly and it will definitely be among my lipstick colors for spring. Please prep your lips first before applying any lip product/lipstick to achieve a smooth canvas to bring out the true color of lipstick.

All lipsticks mentioned are suitable for all skin tones, can be worn with or without a lip liner depending on your preference. These lipsticks can also be worn all year round, but for me I prefer or even tend to wear them more during spring/summer season. 

As the weeks go by and we approach summer, I'll be trying out a whole lot of brands and colors, so I'll keep you guys updated.

SPRING CHIQ BEAUTY HAUL

Spring/Summer often means experimenting and being a bit more daring with colors, so I thought it would be quite appropriate to bring this haul of what I've bought for spring. 

So, I recently picked up a few things from Selfridges. TOM FORD's spring 2014 makeup collection, I got the new collection of sheer lipsticks £36, which I read great reviews about. The colors that I got were PARADISO (a bright watermelon pink creme), INCORRIGIBLE ( a neutral fuchsia with a hint of shimmer) and FIRECRACKER(a fiery orange-red creme). These are vivid colours and from searching boast a rich, smooth texture that will leave soft stains all day. I must say the colors in this collection are to die for- iLove!!! 

Tom Ford Spring 2014 Makeup Collection

I plan on getting the rest of the colors from this collection (top of my Wishlist). I see myself wearing this beautiful line-up of lipsticks shades all year round. Whilst there, I also got the Nail Lacquer in the same collection in INDISCRETION (a brightened, medium dark fuchsia pink) and TOM FORD Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in PEACH ABSOLUT.

I went to the MAC counter and picked up the MAC VELUXE PEARLFUSION EYESHADOW PALETTE in PastelLuxe and PinkLuxe to test out. Described as Matte to highly pearlized finish. In my opinion it's great for sparkle and shine and they stay on for a very long time.

Eyeshadows are quickly becoming quite the obsession. I'll also be picking up a few more eyeshadow products from BH cosmetics (I've been meaning to get their new collections) in the near future...  

I recently repurchased MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in SUN POWER and MEDIUM DEEP. I've been using mineralize products for a while now mostly over my foundation to set , add a little more coverage and to highlight, the MAC. I absolutely love the finish it gives, It's  light weight, gives sheer coverage, natural finish, retouched without the whole cakey-look. Skinfinish range has become one of my favorite products from MAC.

Got some MAC lip pencils in SUMMERFRUIT, MAGENTA & LASTING SENSATION along with MAC's lustreglass lipgloss in MORNING GLORY and FLASHMODE. I don't know how I feel about these yet except they are pretty sultry colors, thinner texture compared to MAC lipglass, and it has a very glass-like shine to it. Delivers some color with plenty shimmer and glossiness!

Also got my hands on WET N WILD's MEGA LAST LIP COLOUR in CHERRY PICKING (famous across YouTube's phere lol). I bought this from Beauty Joint for less than £2 which makes it the cheapest lipstick I own. It's creamy and very pigmented, with a semi-matte to matte finish, wouldn't expect such quality from a cheap product.

Wet N Wild Mega Last, Cherry Picking. £1.67

Lastly, CHANEL Le Vernis Nail Lacquer  in BLUE BOY. I have been using this for a while now, and the Chanel colors are always so unique and very opaque in my opinion. Superb durability, dries super fast which is a plus for me. Overall I love it even though it's quite expensive. I don't expect less from Chanel.

LUMINOUSITY

Luminous skin is something that we all want to achieve.... well who wouldn’t want to look like a Victoria’s Secret model that’s just spent a week in the sun? It’s usually quite different in reality for me thanks to nights out, work, and late night movie catch ups, I usually don’t get as much sleep as I need, resulting in dull skin.                                                                                                                 
But fear not, my fellow sleep deprived lovers; these few products give a gorgeous luminous, dewy look, so no one will be able to tell that you stayed up all night. Besides, what better look is there for going into spring.

I start by doing a quick face scrub, which exfoliates all of the dead skins away and leaves a smooth base. Garnier Pure Fruit Energy Scrub is makes skin feels energised, more beautiful, radiant complexion and I love the smell. Moisturising is vital for this look, moisturised skin = happy skin. I love L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser, a moisturiser made to help correct and improve visible skin quality. I mix a few drops of MAC Strobe Cream into MAC Matchmaster foundation to create the ultimate luminous base. The reflecting particles in the Strobe Cream combined with the dewiness of my foundation would make even the dullest skin look alive.                                                                                                                                               
Cream blush and highlight are essential for this, I use Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks Colour in Raspberry just above the apples of the cheeks and MAC Cream Colour Base in pearl along the cheekbones, on top of the cupids bow and under the brow bone. In order to make this dewy, glowy look last, MAC Fix + sprayed over face seals everything, for a look that will last all day.

THE F.A.C.E

Lets start this off with my favourite beauty (Foundation) products . I'm really really into Skin, the skin has got to look great no matter your skin tone. Am all about my skin care routine and taking care of it. 

I LOVE using Makeup. Now, many of us ladies when it comes down to finding the right makeup, i.e the perfect Foundation for your skin tone, becomes and feels like a lifelong long quest. Am always on the lookout for any new products that will wow me than the previous one which has forth built up my makeup collection to a suitcase full! lol.

My Top 5 Favourite Foundations are MAC Matchmaster in 6.0, Studio Fix fluid in NC44.5, Chanel Perfection Lumiere n Beige Ambre, Revlon Colorstay in Caramel, MAC Face and Body Foundation in N7

       

                    

Those are my top 5 recommendation for foundations. I love them all equally. And I hope these gives you some ideas if your on the market for something new foundation wise. 

Remember dolls the most thing that matters is that your skin looks great. Invest in good skin products and the rest is easy.

SPRING LIST

Spring is here and I couldn't be more excited. This SPRING is all about pretty with a twist!. Youthful prettiness to fresh makeup looks and beautiful pastel colours such as pink, sky blue, sapphire, greens, peach, rose. 

   

My spring make-up collections perfectly reflects this with the prettiest of palettes nail polishes and lipsticks in soft peaches, petal pinks and subtle nudes. Remember, If in doubt, make it pink, smother it with flowery colours.

complete strangers kissing for the first time..  But there is something really uniquely beautiful about this FASHION film. I couldn't help but smile towards the end of it. So it is no surprise that I post it.
